What the model looks at
Every prediction starts from data, never from rumour: recent results and scoring rates for both teams, the head-to-head record, home advantage, and how the betting market is pricing the match. A Poisson-based goals model turns those inputs into outcome probabilities for the 1X2 market, and the highest-probability outcome becomes Leo's pick.
What confidence means
The confidence percentage is the model's estimated probability for the pick — a 62% confidence means the model expects that outcome roughly 6 times out of 10. It is honesty, not bravado: most football matches carry real uncertainty, and a 55% confidence tells you the game is closer than the table suggests.
What value edge means
When the model's probability is higher than what the bookmaker's odds imply, the difference is shown as a value edge. A +5% edge means the price looks generous relative to the model's estimate. Value is about long-run discipline, not a promise about any single match.
What Leo does not do
